Green Tea VPN V3.2.0 Update Notes

On August 18, 2026, Green Tea VPN officially released version V3.2.0. This update focuses on smart node recommendation, traffic statistics and interface experience, marking the largest iteration in nearly half a year.

The pace of version iteration often reflects a product's maturity. Green Tea VPN's previous 3.1.x series focused on stability fixes, while V3.2.0 shifts the emphasis to "making connection more effortless." The development team noted in the changelog that the new smart node recommendation algorithm rebuilt the scoring model from the previous version.

Upgraded Smart Node Recommendation

V3.2.0 rebuilt the node scoring model, weighting latency, load and historical stability together. The old version relied mainly on a single latency metric, which could cause recommended nodes to congest at peak hours. The new model adds load prediction, judging a node's remaining capacity before you click connect.

Test data shows the connection success rate of recommended nodes rose by about twelve percentage points after the upgrade. A user named Xiaoyu reported: "One-click used to stutter at evening peak hours, but now it almost always connects to a smooth node."

New Traffic Statistics

Traffic statistics panel added in V3.2.0

The new version adds a traffic statistics panel on the main interface, letting users see data consumed this session, real-time speed and cumulative usage at a glance. For free-tier users, this is especially useful for planning usage within quota.

Traffic data is stored with local encryption and never uploaded to servers, consistent with Green Tea VPN's no-log policy. This design addresses privacy concerns — you can see your own usage without being watched by third parties.

Interface and Interaction Improvements

V3.2.0 reorganizes the client interface with clearer node grouping and more intuitive connection animations. Dark mode has been adapted and fixed on some systems, no longer straining the eyes at night. It also fixes the tray icon issue on certain Linux distributions.
